How to display report object expressions instead of <<Expr>> in design view?

I've be developing reports in SSRS 2005 for years, but the company is now upgrading everying to 2012.I see that when working with a report in design view for SSRS 2012 any text box with its value set to an expression only displays "<<Expr>>" in the text box rather than the actual expression.Is there a design option or preference that can force the actual expressions to be visible rather than "<<Expr>>?Thanks,Pete
